"stay@" is the real-social-networking-service(RSNS) website that connects host families to guests/students/travelers/friends.

Hello. This is stay@.

Already a month has passed since "stay@" was released.
Although we still only have 67 members, everyday there are more and more people who are interested in stay@. We are pleased that there are people who have signed up as hosts and those who have registered as guests from around the world.
We hope that many people will use stay@ as a way to actually go on a homestay or just to have cross-cultural exchange. :D


This e-mail will introduce how to use the key functions of stay@ and explain newly added functions.

How to use the functions of stay@

First, try registering an icon on your profile.
If you don't want your name and address to be seen from everyone, no worries! You can set "Friends only" so that it can only be seen from your friends.
If you are a host family, you and the guest can register each other as "friends" after they have signed up, and then confirm your names and addresses.


[*]If you are a host family, upload pictures and your family information!

For host families, we encourage you to upload your pictures along with your messages. Login to stay@ and click the "Edit my Host pages" icon.
Here, you will see a field ("picture") where your picture will be uploaded. Click on the "reference" button, and upload your picture.
stay@ automatically adjusts the picture size, so it's very easy!!

Also when you log into stay@, you can access the "Family" menu by placing your cursor on the "Edit my Host pages". You can post your family's profiles and comments here.

We now have a BBS service at stay@. Click on the icons on the "Find Hosts" page in order to go to the BBS of your choice.
Main features are:

* A separate BBS for each category.
After you access a BBS related to your interest, you can post messages if you are looking for a host family. If you are a host family and are seeking guests, you can post announcements here.

* Comments can be rated.
Positive comments will be emphasized, and negative comments (i.e. defamations) will not be shown. Your ratings will enable a good BBS environment so we ask for your cooperation!

* Non stay@ members can also access the BBS.

* When making a topic, images can be uploaded when posting a comment.


[*]Add your address on your profile!

Your address can now be added to your profile. Privacy setting is available, so you can choose to set your address to be seen from your friends only.


[*]E-mail address and password can be changed from "My system".

Up to now, e-mail address and passwords were edited from the "Edit my Profile" page, but a new "My system" has been added for editing. Please be assured that your e-mail address will continuously not be shown on the internet.


[*]"Working holiday" category has been added!
Working holidays are also closely connected with homestay and cross-cultural exchange, so a new "Working Holiday" category has been added.

Aside from the above, we are also working to optimize the design and navigation menus.
